Since the introduction of the Apple iPad online poker players have been waiting for the big poker sites to an app that allows you play poker for money on an iPad makes release. Although the iPad was launched a little less than a year ago (April 3, 2010, to be exact) we are still waiting for a great online poker room, an app that can play real money poker on the iPad bothers.
Real Money Poker From the App Store
Fairly recently, the European online gaming giant Bwin launched the first real-money poker-iPad app, which is available for download from the Apple App Store. As of this writing, this is still the only real money poker app in the Apple Store.
Real Money Poker iPad apps from outside the App Store
Since Apple does not exist in anything related to online gambling, which is not regulated properly it a couple of new poker rooms popping up every now and again to be involved with iPad friendly poker sites. One of the newest poker sites to launch an iPad app Poker, SwitchPoker.com is where you can play poker for real money on your iPad. Personally I would not trust newly launched poker room that does not fail on a network, as they are doomed. I’m 99% sure that this poker site will not be there in 2 years, and that means your money is not safe here, so my advice is to stay away from poker rooms such as this.
iPad Poker for real money in the U.S.
As a U.S. player, it is not always easy, an online poker site can process your payments, even if online gambling is legal in your state. This means it will be even harder finding a US-friendly poker room that works on an iPad. You will not find any real money poker apps in the Apple App Store is now as online gambling is not even close to the regulated in the U.S. and that is necessary for Apple to start and the real money apps in their store.
So at the moment U.S. poker players have to either wait for the online poker giant, an iPad app that can not be downloaded through the App Store or you have to resort to third-party applications that allow access to your computer offer on your iPad, it is possible to play at Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars makes your iPad. For most poker players much is too much to work though, and it’s much easier to just by a normal computer, until a better option comes out.
